The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, affirmed during a policy roundtable in Abuja that the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) is actively strategizing to bring new state governors into office by 2027.
Ganduje, speaking at the ‘The Asiwaju Scorecard Series’ organized by the APC Professionals Forum, emphasized the party’s commitment to evolving into a genuinely grassroots progressive force.
He underscored the NWC’s directive for state chapters to collaborate with governors and stakeholders to establish fully operational offices in every political ward and state, ensuring consistent party presence and engagement year-round, rather than solely during election cycles.
Furthermore, Ganduje highlighted the formation of reconciliation committees at various levels within the party to address internal conflicts and foster unity.
He expressed confidence in the party’s ability to retain current governors, secure new ones, and support the President for another term, citing these measures as integral to fortifying the party’s position for upcoming elections.
