The All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in Kano has vowed to pursue legal action against individuals purporting to be executive members of two emerging factions from Ganduje Ward, Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area.
These factions recently claimed to have suspended the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, consecutively. Denouncing these factions as impostors manipulated by political opponents to smear Dr. Ganduje’s reputation, the APC leadership has taken a firm stance against their actions.
Mallam Basiru Isah Nuhu, identified as the new Chairman of APC Ganduje Ward, alongside others, disavowed any association with the reported suspensions, categorizing the actors as impostors. Speaking on behalf of 10 others, Basiru Isah Nuhu expressed their resolve to seek legal recourse against those misrepresenting their identities.
Salisu Abdullahi Ganduje, reportedly the Secretary of the Party in Ganduje Ward, also distanced himself from the suspension saga, vehemently denying any involvement. He pledged to clear his name and pursue legal action against those who falsely portrayed him.
The State Public Relations Officer of APC, Ahmad Aruwa, received petitions from aggrieved party members whose names were exploited in the purported suspensions. He assured that the matter would be escalated to Abuja, with a commitment to apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, another group of individuals claiming to be APC Executive Committee members emerged from Ganduje Ward, Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano state, on Saturday night, announcing a fresh suspension on Dr. Ganduje.
