The Lagos State Police Command has announced its intention to charge over 1,019 suspects in court on Monday for various offenses committed within the state.

Speaking to journalists in Lagos on Sunday, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Command’s spokesperson, revealed that these suspects were apprehended during extensive raids of black spots across the state conducted between April 8 at 1:15 p.m. and April 14 at 12:50 p.m.

Hundeyin detailed that the charges against the suspects would encompass a wide range of crimes, including possession of arms and ammunition, involvement in traffic robbery, assault on civilians, and possession of illicit drugs, among others.

He further emphasized that law enforcement operations would continue across different parts of the state, issuing a warning to individuals with criminal inclinations to either avoid coming to Lagos or relocate if they are already within the state.

In addition, Hundeyin commended the public for their cooperation in providing timely information to the police regarding the activities of the arrested individuals, while urging continued support in sharing such vital information.
