The Federal Government has officially designated Tuesday, April 9th, and Wednesday, April 10th, 2024, as public holidays in honor of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, conveyed this announcement on behalf of the Federal Government, as detailed in a statement released on Sunday by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Aishetu Ndayako.
In extending felicitations to all Muslims for the successful conclusion of the fasting period during the holy month of Ramadan, the Minister emphasized the importance of embodying virtues such as kindness, love, tolerance, peace, good neighborliness, and compassion, as exemplified by the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).
Additionally, the Minister urged all Nigerians to continue fostering unity in order to promote and uphold peace and solidarity across the nation.
