President Bola Tinubu has called for global peace and stability in Africa and other troubled regions worldwide, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Tinubu made this appeal while speaking to diplomats and heads of international organizations during a Ramadan Iftar event in Abuja on Friday.

Addressing the diplomats, Tinubu urged them to convey the message of peace and stability to their respective countries.

“It’s an honor to address you collectively and share Nigeria’s diverse culture. This moment of sharing is a privilege for us,” he said.

Reflecting on the essence of Ramadan, Tinubu stressed the values of tolerance and perseverance, highlighting their significance in fostering peace and stability globally.

“Ramadan is a time of self-denial, sharing, tolerance, and perseverance. It’s an opportunity for us to promote peace and stability worldwide. I appreciate your presence and your contribution to our pursuit of peace,” Tinubu remarked.

He also appealed to the Diplomatic Corps to extend their care and support to the less privileged, emphasizing the collective responsibility to promote peace and stability on a global scale.

Ambassador Salaheddine Ibrahim, High Commissioner of Cameroon and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, expressed gratitude for the invitation to join Tinubu for Iftar. (NAN)
