MTN Nigeria Apologizes as Network Glitch Blamed on Multiple Fibre Cuts

In a new development, MTN Nigeria has attributed the widespread network disruption experienced by its customers nationwide to multiple cuts in fibre optic cables. 

The company issued an apology to its customers for the inconvenience caused by the disruption. The incident occurred on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, and resulted in difficulties in making calls or accessing data services for MTN subscribers.

Responding to the issue, MTN Nigeria explained that the problem began around 1:39 pm and was caused by several instances of fibre cuts. The company assured customers that its engineers were working tirelessly to restore normal services.

In a statement shared via X, MTN Nigeria expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and requested patience and understanding from its subscribers as efforts were made to resolve the issue promptly.
