The House of Representatives’ Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has summoned Yemi Cardoso, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), regarding suspected revenue leakages on the REMITA platform.

This summons was issued through a letter signed by the Committee’s Chairman, Rep. Bamidele Salam, titled “Investigation Of Revenue Leakages Through Remita Platform and Non-Compliance Substantively with Standard Operating Procedure and Other Allied Service Level Agreement 2023 (HR.373/11/2023)”.

Chairman Salam expressed frustration at the CBN governor’s absence and failure to address the raised concerns, which hindered their investigation into the alleged revenue leakages through REMITA.

The CBN Governor is expected to appear before the committee on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, without exception.
