Presidency Calls Out Atiku’s Hypocrisy in Criticizing President Tinubu Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu, has accused former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of hypocrisy over his recent criticisms of Tinubu.

Onanuga challenged Atiku to acknowledge the economic challenges inherited by President Tinubu from his predecessor, former President Muhammadu Buhari, instead of casting blame.

Contrary to Atiku’s claims, Onanuga asserted that Tinubu is actively working towards economic reform in Nigeria. He criticized Atiku for lacking factual basis in his accusations, citing recent data showing that Nigerians still enjoy relatively low living costs compared to other African countries.

In a statement signed by Onanuga, he highlighted the absence of alternative policy proposals from Atiku during his presidential campaign that diverged significantly from Tinubu’s economic reform agenda. Onanuga called on Atiku to provide concrete suggestions for improving the economy rather than resorting to criticism.

Onanuga also referenced President Tinubu’s removal of subsidies upon taking office and plans to streamline exchange rates as proactive steps towards economic stability. He challenged Atiku to offer insights into what he would have done differently regarding the economy if he were president.
