RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner is set to embark on a six-month loan with Tottenham Hotspur for the remainder of the 2023/2024 season, as confirmed by RB Leipzig manager Marco Rose.
Rose expressed, “He wants to go on loan, we wish him all the best.” He emphasized Werner’s desire to secure playtime, highlighting, “He needs to play as he wants to go to Euro 2024, and we keep our fingers crossed for him.”
The decision stems from Werner’s challenges in getting sufficient playing time at Leipzig, with concerns about its impact on his chances of being selected for the 2024 Euros, scheduled to take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024.
