Former Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, offered his heartfelt condolences to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Saturday, following the passing of his predecessor, the late Rotimi Akeredolu.
In a significant visit, Mimiko, accompanied by a delegation of past government officials, expressed deep sympathy for the Akeredolu family and the entire Ondo State community. He acknowledged the collective sorrow felt for the departed former governor, fondly known as “Aketi.”
Mimiko, reflecting on Akeredolu’s character, highlighted their friendship and emphasized Akeredolu’s unwavering determination once he made up his mind about anything.
During the visit to the Government House in Akure, Mimiko offered prayers for Aiyedatiwa, seeking guidance as he leads the affairs of the state. He also commended the unity and support exhibited by the people of Ondo State toward the new governor.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Mimiko received thanks from Aiyedatiwa for leading the entourage and for the support extended during this challenging period. Aiyedatiwa conveyed appreciation on behalf of the Ondo State Government for the condolence visit.
