Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has officially given his nod to the 2024 appropriation bill, putting his signature on the legislation one week after it sailed through scrutiny and approval by the state House of Assembly.
The initial budget proposal, labeled ‘Budget for a Greater Jigawa,’ presented by Governor Umar Namadi, amounted to N298.14 billion. This figure represents an impressive nearly 23% surge compared to the total appropriation in the preceding fiscal year, 2023.
