Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State issued a heartfelt message to Christians in a statewide broadcast for the 2023 Christmas celebration, urging them to reflect on the profound teachings of Christ.
During the address in Port Harcourt, Fubara emphasized the timeless values of selflessness, love for one another, and an enduring spirit of forgiveness, all integral aspects of Jesus’ teachings.
Drawing attention to the humble circumstances of Jesus’ birth, born to Joseph, a carpenter, and the immaculate Virgin Mary, Fubara encouraged people to embody the qualities of simplicity and humility in their lives.
Reiterating his administration’s commitment to delivering on promises, Fubara stated, “Continuity and consolidation remain the guiding principles of our administration.” He expressed deep gratitude to the people of Rivers State for their unwavering support during recent challenges to the state’s peace and stability.
Governor Fubara also extended appreciation to President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for intervening and preventing a potential crisis. He commended the President for his commitment to peace, evident in the Presidential Peace Proclamation issued on December 18, 2023.
