Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos has officially unveiled the fourth flyover along the rail mass transit red Line corridor in a bid to enhance the city’s transportation infrastructure.

During the inauguration, Governor Sanwo-Olu reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to delivering a transport system that is not only “safe, sustainable, integrated, and seamless” but also positioned the Ikeja flyover as a precursor to the imminent commencement of passenger operations on the red rail line.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Governor of Kwara state.

In a statement issued by his chief press secretary, Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted the administration’s dedication over the past four and a half years to prioritizing the implementation of an integrated transportation system under the Traffic Management and Transportation pillar of the THEMES+ Agenda.

He affirmed the commitment to delivering a transport system designed to be safe, sustainable, integrated, seamless, and poised to catalyze socio-economic growth and development not only in Lagos but throughout the country.

Governor Abdulrazaq of Kwara commended Lagos as an exemplar in terms of socio-economic growth and development. He underscored that the project aligns with the legacy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose administration in Lagos established LAMATA to drive the state’s visionary transport agenda.

“This is adding to the legacy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Abdulrazaq remarked, emphasizing the historical significance of the initiative.
