The organized labor has issued a directive for its members to initiate a nationwide strike in response to the assault on Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, Joe Ajaero, starting from midnight on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
Comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, the organized labor has instructed all affiliate unions of these two labor centers to implement the resolutions established during the joint National Executive Council meeting of TUC and NLC.
Addressing reporters at Labour House, Festus Osifo, the President of TUC, emphasized that the strike would persist until “governments at all levels wake up to their responsibility.”
