A significant fire incident occurred at the High Commission of Canada in Nigeria’s capital city on Monday. The fire affected portions of the building, located at 13010G, Palm Close, Diplomatic Drive, Central Business District in Abuja.
This incident, which started on Monday morning, necessitated the evacuation of the building’s staff.
While details about the event remain limited at this time, Amiola Adebayo, the Head of Operations at the FCT Fire Service, confirmed that at least three individuals were promptly taken to the hospital. Of these, two suffered severe injuries, while the condition of the others required hospitalization. The precise cause of the fire has not been determined.
