The Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has made a decisive ruling in the aftermath of the March 18 governorship election.
In a split decision of 2:1, the three-member tribunal, led by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, has mandated the withdrawal of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s Certificate of Return, originally issued to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Instead, they have declared David Umbugadu, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as the legitimate winner of the election.
