Acting IGP Olukayode Egbetokun Deploys Promoted DIGs to Key Roles in Police Force

The Acting Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, has assigned the recently promoted Deputy Inspectors-General of Police (DIGs) to various divisions within the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

According to the Force Public Relations Officer (PRO), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the deployments are as follows:

  • DIG Bala Ciroma will now lead the Department of Finance and Administration.
  • DIG Frank Emeka Mba has been tasked with overseeing the Department of Training and Development.
  • DIG Habu Sani is now in charge of the Force Intelligence Bureau.
  • DIG Usman Nagogo has been assigned to the Department of Logistics and Supply.
  • DIG Daniel Sokari-Pedro is heading the Department of Information and Communication Technology.
  • DIG Ibrahim Sani Ka’oje is responsible for the Department of Research and Planning.
  • DIG Ede Ayuba Ekpeji has been appointed to lead the Department of Operations.

The Force PRO also disclosed that the Inspector-General of Police has authorized the reassignment of the following Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) to specific commands and formations:

  • AIG Oladimeji Yomi Olanrewaju is now the Force Secretary.
  • AIG Yekini Adio Ayoku will be in charge of the Police Mobile Force.
  • AIG Idris Dabban Dauda has been assigned to Zone 16 Yenagoa.
  • AIG Oyediran Adesoye Oyeyemi will head the Police Cooperative.
  • AIG Benjamin Okolo Nebeolisa will oversee the Department of ICT.

Furthermore, the IGP has called upon these newly appointed and reassigned senior officers to promote professionalism within their respective divisions, commands, and formations. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing human security and delivering policing services that cater to the needs of the people.
