The Federal Government has officially instructed all international airlines to cease operations at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) starting from October 1, 2023.
This strategic directive has been established to facilitate an extensive maintenance undertaking at the airport. The announcement was relayed by Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, during his inspection tour of Lagos’ international airports.
Accompanying him on this tour was Mr. Kabir Yusuf Mohammed, the Managing Director of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
