Harry Kane’s substantial transfer from Tottenham to Bayern Munich has been finalized following a summer of negotiations, solidifying his move to the German champions.
KANE BID FAREWELL TO TOTTENHAM FANS
Harry Kane has posted a video message bidding farewell to Tottenham, coinciding with Bayern Munich’s preparations to announce his imminent arrival.
“Hi everyone, I wanted to be the first to tell you Tottenham fans that I will be leaving the club today,” he said. “Obviously a lot of emotions going through me right now, sad to be leaving the club I’ve spent nearly 20 years of my life at from an 11-year-old boy to a 30-year-old man.”

HARRY KANE’S RECORD AT TOTTENHAM
Aged 30, Kane’s transfer to Bayern marks a significant change after his entire playing career with Spurs, except for occasional loan periods elsewhere. His move to the Allianz Arena will surpass Bayern’s current record transfer fee of £72 million, paid for Lucas Hernandez in 2019.
In February 2023, at the age of 30, Kane achieved the distinction of becoming Tottenham’s all-time top scorer with his 267th goal for the club. Nonetheless, despite his goal-scoring prowess, his efforts in the previous season were insufficient to secure Spurs a spot in the Champions League, leading to an eighth-place finish.

While speaking, Tottenham Chairman, Daniel Levy said: “We tried to offer Kane and his camp different forms of new contract both short and long term”
“Harry was clear that he wanted a fresh challenge and would not be signing a new contract this summer”.
“We have reluctantly, therefore, agreed to his transfer”.
He however thanked Kane and says he will always be welcomed at the club.
“I should like to thank Harry for everything he’s done for us, all the memories, all the records, we wish him and his family all the best for the future. It goes without saying, he’s always welcome back. He’s a much loved and valued member of the Spurs family, forever in our history.”
BAYERN MUNICH’S MASSIVE RECRUITMENT
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich is reinforcing its team with greater offensive capabilities. The Bavarian side managed to secure the Bundesliga title in the previous season, but their victory was a nail-biting one that was sealed in the final moments. Although Thomas Tuchel, the former Chelsea manager, was appointed as the team’s coach midway through the season, it wasn’t until the last day of the campaign that he guided the team to claim the title.
