The partnership between Wema Bank and the Federal Government aims to empower a minimum of one million youth across seven states in Nigeria. Vice-President Kashim Shettima revealed this through a statement provided by Olusola Abiola, the director of information in the vice-president’s office. The plan involves establishing digital hubs for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in these states. Abiola noted that this initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s goal to generate digital employment opportunities for the younger generation. The decision to implement this initiative followed discussions between the vice president and Wema Bank representatives.
