Bala Mohammed, Governor of Bauchi State and leader of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum, has urged the Federal Government to avoid entering into any form of conflict with the Republic of Niger. In a statement, Mohammed emphasized that the PDP governors are advocating for dialogue as the solution in the aftermath of the coup that removed democratically elected President Mohammed Bazoum.
This consensus was reached during a meeting of PDP governors in Abuja on Saturday. The statement expressed the belief in the unity of Nigerians and Niger and encouraged the FG to adopt diplomatic measures to strengthen the friendly relationship, thereby promoting economic growth and development for both African nations.
