President Bola Tinubu has replaced Maryam Shetty, his initial nominee for the Ministry of Women Affairs, with Festus Keyamo and Dr Maigari Mahmud. The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, announced this change during a plenary session on Friday.
Festus Keyamo, a former Minister of State for Labour and Employment in the Buhari-led administration, and Dr Maigari Mahmud have been appointed in her stead. President Tinubu had initially submitted Shetty’s name along with eighteen other nominees on Wednesday. With the addition of these two new nominees, the total count of Ministerial Nominees has now reached forty-eight. Further details will be provided soon.
