Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has submitted a list of 39 nominees for Commissioners and Special Advisers to the Lagos State House of Assembly for confirmation.
The list comprises both politicians and technocrats, with some former members returning and others not. Former Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, Budget and Economic Planning counterpart, Mr. Sam Egube, ex-Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, ex-Special Adviser to the Governor on Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Aramide Adeyooye, and his Education counterpart, Tokunbo Wahab, are on the list. However, some former cabinet members like Rabiu Olowo (Finance), Moyosore Onigbanjo SAN (Justice and Attorney-General), and Yetunde Arobieke (Wealth Creation) were not included. Additionally, new names on the list include Lawal Pedro (SAN), Dr. Oreoluwa Finnih-Awokoya, Lekan Fatodu, and Idris Aregbe.
