Ekiti Government Establishes Committee for Fuel Subsidy Palliatives

The Ekiti state government has declared the establishment of a committee composed of key stakeholders. The committee’s main objective is to develop strategies and plans to provide palliative support to the state’s population, with the aim of lessening the impact of subsidy removal.

Yinka Oyebode, the Special Adviser to Governor Biodun Oyebanji on Media, spoke to the Nigerian Tribune on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti. He emphasized Governor Oyebanji’s dedication to the residents’ well-being and his commitment to providing relief to the people.

Oyebode appealed to the citizens to understand the situation with the Bola Tinubu-led government following the fuel subsidy removal. He assured the public that the government would soon implement measures to ease the hardships faced by the people.
