The reasons behind the defection of Friday Agbom, the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have come to light.
Agbom, along with other party stakeholders in the local government, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Chinedu Ogah, the representative of Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, at his residence in Abakaliki on Sunday morning. During the visit, they announced their defection to the APC, citing Governor Francis Nwifuru’s good governance as their reason.
However, investigations conducted by our correspondent reveal that Agbom was suspended by the PDP ward executives, who issued a vote of no confidence against him and accused him of engaging in anti-party activities.
