In response to the appointment of Taiwo Oyedele, a fiscal policy expert, by President Bola Tinubu as the chair of a presidential committee on fiscal policy and tax reforms, Phrank Shaibu, special assistant to Atiku Abubakar, claims that Tinubu is utilizing appointments to silence his critics.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Shaibu asserted that President Bola Tinubu appointed Oyedele to prevent him from speaking out about the shortcomings of the federal government.
Shaibu further claimed that former President Muhammadu Buhari followed a similar pattern, where he appointed individuals but did not heed their advice or counsel.
