Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Governor of Kano State, has expressed his sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Sani Kanti Ranka, the Chairman of Bebeji Local Government. Alhaji Sani passed away on Friday night after a short illness, as stated in a press release signed by Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, on behalf of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, who also serves as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, described the death as a “deeply painful and significant loss,” not only for the deceased’s immediate family but also for the entire state and the nation.
The statement further mentioned that late Sani Kanti was a peaceful man who possessed extensive experience in politics and public service. It also conveyed the Commissioner’s prayers for Allah to forgive any shortcomings of the deceased and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus. The burial was conducted in accordance with Islamic customs, and he is survived by his family.
