Ouattara Brace Powers Bournemouth to Dominant 5-1 FA Cup Win Over West Brom

Dango Ouattara scored twice as Bournemouth cruised to a 5-1 FA Cup third-round win over West Brom, easing the pressure of a striker crisis. With injuries to forwards Evanilson and Enes Unal, manager Andoni Iraola had planned to dip into the transfer market, but Ouattara’s brace, along with goals from Justin Kluivert, Antoine Semenyo, and Daniel Jebbison, demonstrated they may not need to.

West Brom took an early lead in the 14th minute when Caleb Taylor scored off a rebound from Grady Diangana’s header, but Bournemouth quickly responded. Kluivert equalized in the 27th minute, and Ouattara put the hosts ahead seven minutes later with a clinical finish. Just before half-time, Ouattara added a second, tapping in a pass from David Brooks.

The second half saw Bournemouth take full control. Semenyo scored from a well-worked corner just two minutes in, and Jebbison sealed the win in stoppage time, finishing off a counter-attack. The win secured Bournemouth’s place in the fourth round of the FA Cup, with Iraola’s side looking stronger despite their striker concerns.
