Liverpool have turned down approaches from Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town for winger Ben Doak, who is currently excelling on loan at Championship side Middlesbrough.
Neither club has come close to meeting Liverpool’s valuation for the 19-year-old Scotland international, who has been one of the standout performers in the Championship this season. Palace have reportedly identified Doak as one of their primary targets this transfer window, while Ipswich are deliberating on whether to submit an improved bid closer to Liverpool’s asking price.
Liverpool have also rejected significant interest from several European clubs. The Reds are pleased with Doak’s development at Middlesbrough under Michael Carrick and view him as a potential first-team player for manager Arne Slot in the future.
Doak’s performances have been impressive, earning him the EFL Young Player of the Month award for December. With two goals and five assists in 17 starts for Boro, Liverpool believe he is the best player in the Championship, further solidifying their decision to keep him within their long-term plans.
