AC Milan Start Conceição Era with Comeback Win Over Juventus to Reach Supercoppa Italiana Final
Sergio Conceição’s debut as AC Milan head coach began in dramatic fashion as his team came from behind to defeat Juventus 2-1 and secure a place in the Supercoppa Italiana final.
Juventus took the lead midway through the first half when Kenan Yildiz capitalized on a defensive lapse to beat Mike Maignan at the near post. Milan, struggling to create chances, went into halftime trailing and frustrated, echoing their goalless draw against Juve earlier in the season.
The match turned in the second half. Christian Pulisic won and converted a penalty in the 70th minute after being fouled by Manuel Locatelli. Four minutes later, a Yunus Musah cross deflected off Federico Gatti and into the Juventus net, giving Milan the lead.
Despite late pressure from Juventus, including a heroic block from Matteo Gabbia to deny Gatti, Milan held firm to seal the win. The victory sets up a showdown against Inter in Monday’s final, offering Conceição a chance to further establish his influence at the club.
