Second-half goals from Mayra Ramirez and Guro Reiten, scored just four minutes apart, secured the three points for Chelsea. Ramirez’s individual brilliance broke the deadlock, as the striker shrugged off City defender Alanna Kennedy with ease before driving forward from halfway and firing a clinical shot into the far corner. Moments later, Reiten doubled the lead with a pinpoint effort from the edge of the box following a well-executed set piece. She first dragged a shot wide following a misplaced Chelsea pass and later overhit a potential assist to Jil Roord.
Chelsea, on the other hand, showcased their efficiency and resilience. Their dominance at Stamford Bridge continues, having now won all seven of their WSL games at the venue. Last season, Chelsea found themselves chasing both City and Arsenal in the title race, but this decisive win places them firmly in control.
