Bayern Munich had to dig deep to secure a narrow 1-0 victory over Benfica at the Allianz Arena, but Harry Kane expressed satisfaction with the team’s overall performance. Reflecting on the match, Kane praised Bayern’s dominance and control.
“We were in control for pretty much the whole game,” Kane said. “They didn’t cause us many problems, and it felt good to get the win. We just needed a bit more composure in the final third to find that second or third goal. But overall, I think it was a really solid performance. We’ve had a packed schedule, so to dominate like we did is really encouraging. It was a good night for us at home.”
Kane also acknowledged the varied nature of victories, noting, “Sometimes it’s fireworks and you score four or five goals, but other nights, you have to dig in and find a way to win.”
For Bayern, the hard-fought win underscored their resilience and focus, as they kept their recent strong form going despite the heavy demands of their schedule.
