Ousmane Dembele’s early strike secured a 1-0 victory for Paris St Germain over Lens, helping the Parisians extend their unbeaten streak in Ligue 1. Dembele found the net just four minutes into the match, capitalizing on a well-placed cross from Bradley Barcola that he slotted home at the back post, giving PSG an early advantage.

Despite PSG’s fast start, Lens goalkeeper Brice Samba delivered an impressive performance, frustrating the hosts with a series of crucial saves throughout the game. Lens, determined to level the score, created several promising opportunities, the first of which came shortly after PSG’s goal. Jhoanner Chavez unleashed a strong shot, only for Nuno Mendes to make a key block to maintain PSG’s slim lead. Moments later, Achraf Hakimi set up Marco Asensio in the box, but Deiver Machado managed to block Asensio’s shot, with Samba reacting quickly to deny Fabian Ruiz’s follow-up attempt.

Lens’s pursuit of an equalizer took a major setback in the 59th minute when Abdukodir Khusanov was shown a straight red card after a reckless challenge on Hakimi, leaving Lens down to ten men. PSG sought to capitalize on their numerical advantage, and substitute Lee Kang-In nearly doubled their lead with a close shot that just missed the post.

Lens remained resilient, however, and came close to equalizing on two occasions with quick attempts from Hamzat Ojediran and Neil El Aynaoui. Still, Samba continued to be the standout performer for Lens, making another spectacular save against a curling shot from Barcola and thwarting Mendes in the closing stages.

With the win, PSG now sit six points clear at the top of Ligue 1, thanks in part to second-placed Monaco’s loss to Angers the previous evening.
