The Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Delta donated various educational materials, including desks, whiteboards, exercise books, and more, to three primary schools in Warri, Delta State. The schools—Nana, Ikengbuwa, and Ogiame Primary Schools—also received slashers, generators, water pumps, and overhead tanks.

Commodore Abba Muhsin, Commander of NNS Delta, said the donations, worth millions, align with Operation Delta Sanity, aiming to support education as part of the Navy’s “free educational rhapsody” program. He urged the students to be disciplined and diligent and encouraged the schools to maintain the facilities.

The Naval boss said, “We have quite several items such as tables and desks, whiteboards, long slashers, pumping machines,  over 1000 exercise books, and overhead tanks to give out to these primary schools.

“All these items are being given out based on the requests of the needs of these primary schools and not just our invention.
“We reached out to them and enquired what needs they wanted and from that, we can get the items and take them across to them.

Responding, the Education Secretary of Warri South LGA, Augustina Omatseye, and the head teachers expressed gratitude for the Navy’s support and promised to maintain the donated items.
