The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has made progress in uploading results from the Edo State governorship election onto its Result Viewing Portal. As of the latest update, only 4.5 percent of the total election results have been successfully uploaded to the portal.
According to a report released on Saturday, INEC has uploaded the results from 205 polling units out of the 4,519 polling units where elections were conducted across the state. This indicates that the majority of results are yet to be made available for public viewing, as the collation process continues. The Result Viewing Portal allows citizens to track the election outcomes in real time, promoting transparency in the electoral process. However, the slow pace of result uploads has raised concerns about the timely release of the full election data.
