 Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has issued an order for the immediate suspension of Otonye Briggs, the Caretaker Committee (CTC) Chairman of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area.
The directive was made public on Tuesday through a statement released in Port Harcourt by the governor’s media aide, Nelson Chukwudi, and distributed to journalists.
Although the statement did not specify the reasons behind Briggs’ suspension, Governor Fubara has swiftly appointed Hon. Bitebobo Nelson Amieye as the new acting CTC Chairman to fill the position. The statement suggests that the governor’s decision was made to ensure continued leadership and stability within the local government administration.
