President Bola Tinubu has left China and is en route to London, United Kingdom, with a stopover in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Before his departure from China, Tinubu held a meeting with members of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organization (NIDO China) and the Nigerian community at the China World Hotel. This was disclosed in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President.

In his farewell message, Tinubu assured Nigerians living in China that his government is committed to providing effective governance and aims to replicate some of the successes China has achieved for its people.

He acknowledged the difficulties Nigerians are currently facing but emphasized that these challenges are essential sacrifices needed to build better infrastructure, such as roads, reliable electricity, quality education, and other critical services for citizens.

Describing his official trip to China as “very good and successful,” Tinubu highlighted his discussions with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. He also led the Nigerian delegation to participate in the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit.
