Brazilian striker Evanilson has joined Bournemouth from Porto for a reported £40 million ($51.6 million), setting a new transfer record for the English club. The 24-year-old, who scored 13 league goals in Portugal last season and netted a hat trick in the Champions League against Royal Antwerp, will fill the void left by Dominic Solanke, who transferred to Tottenham for approximately £65 million ($83 million).
Tottenham also acquired winger Wilson Odobert, a France Under-21 international, from relegated Burnley for around £25 million ($32.3 million). Meanwhile, promoted Ipswich has signed Championship top scorer Sam Szmodics from Blackburn and secured Kalvin Phillips on loan from Manchester City. Southampton has brought in striker Cameron Archer from Aston Villa.
