Yobe State is taking a stand against declining moral values with the launch of a new campaign, “Operation Gyaran Hali,” led by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Ethical Re-Orientation.
Governor Mai Mala Buni emphasized the urgency of this initiative at the campaign’s launch on Wednesday. He pointed to a concerning decline in moral values, particularly among the youth, with a rise in illicit substance use like drugs.
Governor Buni stressed the importance of a unified front. He called for collaboration between the government, traditional rulers, religious leaders, parents, and guardians to work alongside security agencies in tackling this issue.
To ensure the campaign’s effectiveness, the Governor directed the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Ethical Reorientation to hold regular meetings with stakeholders in each local government area.
These meetings will assess the situation, evaluate current strategies, and make adjustments as needed to address evolving challenges.
“Operation Gyaran Hali” has the potential to be a game-changer for Yobe State. By working together, residents and leaders can create a stronger, more ethical future for their communities.
