Ebonyi State Governor Calls for Unity and Peace in Eid-el-Kabir Message

Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, has called on the Muslim community to use the Sallah period to pray for Nigeria’s peace, progress, unity, and development.

In his Eid-el-Kabir message, Nwifuru prayed for Allah’s blessings to fill their lives with happiness and usher in an era of prosperity. He also wished them long life. This message was conveyed in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Monday Uzor, on Saturday in Abakaliki.

“On behalf of the Government and people of Ebonyi State, I wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters Barka de Sallah,” the statement read.

The Governor took the occasion to reaffirm his administration’s commitment to including all segments of society in governance.

He expressed appreciation for the contributions of Muslims in the state towards achieving the people’s charter of needs agenda and assured that all necessary security measures are in place to ensure a smooth and safe Sallah celebration.

Governor Nwifuru concluded with a prayer: “May the blessings of Allah fill your life with happiness and open all doors of success now and always.”
