Senator Kalu Urges Religious Tolerance and Prayers for Nigeria During Eid-El-Kabir

Dr. Orji Kalu, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Privatization and former Governor of Abia State, extended his warm wishes to the Muslim community in celebration of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir.

Kalu encouraged religious leaders to use their influence to promote peace and unity throughout the country. He also urged Nigerians to take this special season as an opportunity to pray for the nation.

He emphasized that religious tolerance is key to peaceful co-existence among Nigerians and highlighted that the nation’s diversity should be harnessed for growth and development. In his goodwill message for the 2024 Eid-El-Kabir celebration, Kalu called on Muslim faithful to adhere to the principles of Islam in their daily lives.

“I join our Muslim brothers and sisters around the world in celebrating Eid-El-Kabir. This is a time for sober reflection and spiritual renewal,” Kalu stated. He added, “Let us follow the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the exemplary life of Prophet Mohammed.”
