The Federal Government has increased its minimum wage offer to Organised Labour from ₦60,000 to ₦62,000.
This decision came after several hours of discussion within the tripartite committee, which includes labour unions, the organised private sector, and the government, on Friday, June 7, 2024.
Meanwhile, organised labour has revised its demand to ₦250,000, a substantial reduction from its previous demand of ₦494,000.
The government’s new offer, however, is a minor increase, which had previously led to the suspension of industrial action.
