Chelsea has announced the appointment of Enzo Maresca as their new manager, signing a five-year contract. The Italian, formerly Leicester City’s boss, replaces Mauricio Pochettino.
Maresca, 44, joined Leicester in June 2023 and led them to win the Championship title last season. Chelsea expressed their enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Enzo into the Chelsea family.”
The club’s ownership group praised Maresca, saying, “He is a highly gifted coach and leader that we are confident can help fulfill our vision and competitive goals for the club.” Pochettino left Stamford Bridge by mutual consent last month, despite ending the season on a high note.
