The Senate has decided to end the suspension of Senator Abdul Ningi, which was initiated on March 12, 2024.
This resolution was reached following a motion put forward by Deputy Minority Leader Senator Abba Moro on Tuesday. Moro extended an apology on behalf of Ningi and personally took responsibility for Ningi’s previous actions.
Ningi’s suspension had been prompted by statements he made in an interview concerning budget padding.
