Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara made a significant announcement on Monday, revealing plans by his administration to establish a panel aimed at investigating past governments, including the recent tenure of Nyesom Wike.

Governor Fubara, engaged in an ongoing feud with Wike, who currently serves as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), disclosed this plan following the swearing-in of Dagogo Iboroma as the state’s Attorney General.

While expressing skepticism about the swift resolution of the state’s current political crisis, Governor Fubara pointed fingers at his opponents, accusing them of deliberately undermining his administration. Nonetheless, he remained hopeful that constructive dialogue could pave the way for resolution.

Governor Fubara vowed to make resolute decisions going forward, regardless of public perception.

Responding to recent criticism from former Attorney General Zacchaeus Adangor, SAN, and Ministry of Works counterpart Alabo George-Kelly, the governor rebuked them and other detractors, alleging that their actions were impeding the state’s progress by opposing its interests through legal maneuvers.
