In a resolute stance, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano affirmed on Friday that the Presidency is firmly supporting Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the party, amidst the ongoing political upheaval aimed at ousting him from his position.
The party asserted that Ganduje has been receiving unwavering support and encouragement from the Presidency to maintain his leadership role within the APC at the national level.
Alhaji Ahmad Aruwa, the APC spokesperson in Kano, dispelled accusations of implicating the Presidency in inciting the crisis against Ganduje. Aruwa, whose remarks were circulated in a viral video on social media, where he seemingly pointed fingers at certain elements within the Presidency for instigating the turmoil leading to Ganduje’s alleged suspension, clarified that his statements were misconstrued.
Addressing media reports, Aruwa reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, highlighting the overwhelming support the President garnered in Kano during the previous general election. He refuted allegations attributed to him, which accused the Presidency of undermining Dr. Ganduje concerning the reported suspension of his APC membership.
