Amidst swirling rumors of his demise, former Old Oyo State Governor and elder statesman Omololu Olunloyo has emphatically declared his vitality.
Addressing concerns at his Molete residence in Ibadan, as reported by PUNCH, Olunloyo firmly stated, “I’m still here, not yet gone.”
Responding to speculation, Olunloyo pondered the inevitability of mortality, cautioning against the dissemination of false information. Expressing gratitude for his long life at 89, he reflected on the divergent lifespans of his parents and emphasized the unpredictability of human longevity.
Recalling a recent incident on June 7, 2022, Olunloyo recounted how rumors of his passing spread rapidly across news outlets, falsely claiming his demise at the University College Hospital in Ibadan. Subsequently, his family released a statement clarifying his condition, dispelling the rumors and requesting prayers for his recovery from age-related ailments.
