The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has mobilized 2,050 personnel to ensure the safety of residents and safeguard critical national assets and infrastructure during and after the Eid-El-Fitr Sallah celebration in Katsina State.
In addition to the visible deployment, undercover operatives have been strategically placed to gather intelligence and preempt any potential disruptions during the Sallah festivities.
According to DSC Buhari Hamisu, NSCDC’s Public Relations Officer in Katsina, the security personnel will be stationed at key locations including prayer grounds, event centers, transportation hubs, markets, and government facilities across Katsina and Daura Emirates.
During a meeting with senior personnel, State Commandant Jamilu A. Indabawa emphasized the paramount importance of vigilance and diligence throughout the Sallah festival. Represented by the Command’s Head of Operations, DC Nuhu Dalha, Indabawa directed department heads, area commanders, and officers to collaborate closely with other security agencies to ensure seamless security coordination during the celebrations.
Indabawa also extended heartfelt Eid greetings to Muslims in Katsina and worldwide, urging residents to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest security office.
