President Bola Ahmed Tinubu extended his condolences to the family of the late Rotimi Akeredolu, former governor of Ondo State, during a visit on Wednesday.
Accompanied by Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his deputy Olayide Adelami, Tinubu visited Owo, where Akeredolu was laid to rest the previous week.
In his remarks, Tinubu hailed Akeredolu as a courageous advocate for good governance, praising his relentless commitment to the betterment of Nigeria. He described the late governor as a fearless fighter who fearlessly pursued the cause of good governance.
Also present was Olowo Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, who welcomed Tinubu to Owo and echoed praise for Akeredolu’s dedication to democratic ideals.
Additionally, Tinubu paid a visit to Pa Reuben Fasoranti, leader of the pan-Yoruba organization Afenifere, to offer his respects.
