The Take It Back Movement, a human rights group, has launched a nationwide protest in Lagos to denounce the economic hardship plaguing the country.
Despite the cautionary remarks from the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade, the demonstration proceeded as planned.Fayoade had warned potential protesters against resorting to violence or actions that could infringe on the rights of others, such as obstructing traffic or disrupting commercial activities in the state.
He assured Lagos residents of adequate security measures to safeguard lives and property, irrespective of any protests. Nevertheless, on Monday, demonstrators took to the streets with placards, showing their determination to raise their voices against the prevailing challenges.
